She attended St. Benedict at Auburndale High School where she was a member of the award winning SBA Jazz Band under the direction of Tom Link. In 2014, Kayla earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music from Murray State University, studying under Dr. Stephen Brown and Dr. Matthew Gianforte. She currently resides is Memphis where she performs around the city at private parties, lounges, and local restaurants including Moondance Grill and B.B. King's Itta Bena on Beale Street.
